Our Database contains information about our family lines. We are currently researching seven family lines and a few special projects. We have only one database, but several "branches". So a person appears in our database only once but can appear in more than one branch. The branches help define our different projects without having to duplicate individuals. When you click on the "Branches" link above, you will see a list of all of our current projects. To view the individuals in a particular project, click the number under the "Individuals" column next to the branch or project you wish to view.
Our Family Line Branch will contain all related persons from the seven family lines we are researching. If a person in our database does not belong to this branch, then they are most likely part of a special project.
I was born a Perkins, so our research starts with the Perkins Family Line. My mother was a Sweat. My husband is a Marsh and his mother was a Moore. My daughter's father was a Queen and my stepson's mother was a Cox. One of my daughter-in-law's is a Guy. I would love to research other members of our extended family and if they ask, I may add them to this list. Just call me or email me.
Our Family Research includes the following families:
Our Perkins Surname Study will contain only those persons born with the Perkins Surname. Their spouses will be included but no children will be listed for their union unless they carry the Perkins Surname.
In my own research for my birth name, I have come across so many individuals that also carry the Perkins name. I was stuck for years trying to get past my great-grandfather and found so many "unrelated" Perkins. I am very interested to find out if we all may be related somehow. Please note that some individuals may appear in more than one family tree in our database. To select this tree use the Quick Link above to either our main database page or our list of branches.
Researching seven family lines is a huge undertaking. I split my research up into projects in order to keep up with all of the different directions I could go. So many people found in the same areas with the same surnames. They've got to be related....right? That's why I will be doing some individual surname studies. If I do find they are related, then they simply appear in more than one tree in my database. But at least I have them documented already.
Here is a list of potential projects I hope to start (I don't think I'll ever "finish" my research):
